Product Details

The Blood Order was awarded to those who participated in the unsuccessful Beer Hall Putsch on Nov. 9, 1923 in Munich, which resulted in Hitler’s imprisonment. The order was established upon Hitler coming to power in 1933. From May of 1938 until the middle of 1942, the medal was awarded for service to the Nazi Party. The obverse features a eagle perched atop a wreath bearing the date 9 Nov. In the field is the inscription: “MUNCHEN 1923-1933.” The reverse of the medal shows the Feldherrnhalle Museum in Munich, a key location in the attempted putsch, topped by a swastika and an inscription in German reading: “And yet you have conquered.” The medal was worn from the right breast pocket. Our high-quality Reproduction German German is made of nickel, and measures slightly more than an inch-and-a-half. It comes with five inches of ribbon material.
